NCB students raise money for Sport Relief
Man 'O' Man Vs Football Tournament

BTEC Introductory sports student’s organised events to help raise money for Sport Relief. All the money raised is spent by Comic Relief to help transform the lives of poor and vulnerable people, both in England and across the world’s poorest countries.
The students arranged a ‘Man O Man’ competition to entertain other NCB students and raise money for Sport Relief at the same time. Contestants had to carry out tasks including best chat up line, best dancer and best muscle man poses. At the end of each round the contestants with the most cheers went onto the next round until there was one man left standing.
“A fun time was had by all and the organisers should be very proud of themselves considering they only had one rehearsal and had to perform in front of the whole of NCB.”
NCB Operations Manager Kay Davis
Another group of students arranged a football tournament for Year 9 students from James Hornsby High School. As well as raising money for Sport Relief this formed part of their course unit ‘Organising a Sport and Leisure Event.’
“It was a good experience for the students to learn how to control a large group of kids during sport."
John O'Brien from James Hornsby School
"It was nice organising something that made the kids do something fun, healthy and productive."
NCB student Aaron Thompson
